Patient Advocate Foundation leaders recognized in Cancer Health 25
Patient Advocate Foundation leaders, Alan Balch, PhD, CEO and Kevin L. Hagan, incoming CEO have been recognized in Cancer Health’s 2026 “Cancer Health 25: In Praise of Financial Helpers and Fundraisers,” which highlights individuals and organizations working to reduce the financial burden of cancer care.
The feature focuses on patient advocacy champions who are working to address the economic strain patients face beyond medical bills, including transportation, housing, childcare, and lost income—which can negatively affect treatment adherence and health outcomes.
Dr. Balch and Hagan were recognized in conjunction with the recent merger of Patient Advocate Foundation and the PAN Foundation, creating a unified organization dedicated to helping patients navigate, access, and afford care while improving the healthcare system for those who need it most.
Patient Advocate Foundation is proud to be recognized among an impactful group of advocates, including many of its partners, who are working to ensure patients can access and afford critical care.
